UPDATE

So of course again, I've slacked off, but really. I am gonna blame this one on going back to school, Blake starting school, and getting ready to go to Disney!!!! We are so very excited, it's all we talk about. But we are so excited and we leave next week. I promise to post pics of that. Besides that, my classes are going well, not used to being back in school again. Blake is loving preschool, and just growing up so fast. Really not much else new, but I promise to post Disney stuff when we get back.

Preschool

This is Blake before we left home on his first day. He was very excited up at 5:45, running into my room to tell me it was his first day. Made for a long morning since he doesn't go until afternoon. He was so ready all morning



I had told him that he doesn't go until after lunch so he came up to me about 9:30 and told me was so hungry. "Could we have mac n cheese and a mustard sandwich (what he calls ham sandwiches)" I informed him just because we eat lunch doesn't make it time to go to preschool. and surprisingly he wasn't hungry anymore.



Blake is going to the same school that Aunt Jenny teaches at so she came down and took a picture of the two of us outside his classroom door! It does make it easier on mommy knowing that Aunt Jenny is right there all the time.



He is not tall enough to hang up his own backpack yet. I'm not sure how he sizes up to the rest of his class, they were not all there on the first day, but I don't think he's way shorter than all of them. There is only 9 kids in his class!



Sitting on the carpet waiting for his other friends to get there. Can't believe he is so big... Way harder on mommy than him. He is WAY excited!!

STITCHES

So we hadn't been to an ER or hospital in a while, so we decided it was time to go. My kitchen cabinet decided to jump out and bite Blake on the head (or he was running tripped and fell into the corner of the cabinet) he preferes the bite story so we're sticking to it. Any way we made out way to the ER and got 7 just beautiful blue stitches! What a way to start preschool right... Oh well, such is the life of a boy right?




I wish I could end the story there, but I guess I do need to tell on myself too. When we got there Nick had met us there and already had us checked in, which was nice, but he was stating that he couldn't watch and all that, so I told him to stop and be strong for Blake. As I was being... ha ha.. Well I was actually watching them do the stitches and counting them so I could tell Blake how many and I wouldn't recomend doing that. At about stitch number 4 I lost it and got very HOT, and I must of went white becaus the doctor said 'are you okay' and then they proceded to make me sit down, which didn't help, so they then put me on the floor with a pillow, an made me put my feet up and use an ice pack. Yeah it was great, the even better part was that nick took a picture for you all to see. It really did help lighten the mood (which was my plan the whole time) and anywho. Figure I should tell on myself too. Yeah for a great mommy moment right? I only had to lay there for a few seconds and was back up before they had finished stitching him up but still.

Wildlifer challenge

Signed Blake up this summer for a Wildlifer Challenge online. There was a list of 20 outdoor things and you had to complete 15 of them, on order to 'finish' the challenge. We did so. We had a BLAST doing them. Some more than others. The mud fight which I thought was going to be a HUGE chalange with my clean kid, was a blast and he freaking loved it! Since he finished as one of first 500 to finish he recieved a Colman prize package and a t-shirt, stickers, poster etc... He loved it and I just wanted to share some of our Challanges we completed. Thanks to all who helped me get him finished too, weather it be usuing your tents or your bondfire pits. Thanks a million!

1 Year!!!

Hospital Free that is. Sunday the 6th, marked our 1 year being hospital free!! It is the longest stretch in Blakes LIFE that he has not been in the hospital!!! I am SOOO thankful for this, as I'm pretty sure all those hospital stays has taken a few years off my life. We have only even had I think just one bad spell in the last year. We are right in the midst of the bad season though, so we are praying and hoping our spell is not broken!

Here it is, finally. I know I've been saying I was going to do this forever. I believe we finally have the water thing fixed, after 13 days we came back here, then 7 days later, dirt showed back up in the water. I think we are good to go now though! I have to say before you see 'The Plex' there is still things missing on some walls, and you get to even see 'hell'. I thought I may as well give you the good/bad/ and ugly.. (no there is not a picture of me on there) Some of the things you'll see though are my valentines gift from Blake this year. I'm not much of a valentines person, but Nick helped Blake make me a present and I am VERY grateful for that I love it!!! (look on the table) The paint job in Blakes room could of NEVER happened without the help of Mike and Kim! Or the painting in the rest of the place. We (I say that very broadly) have painted my room, both bathrooms, kitchen/dinning, and Blakes room. The rest will come later. We are trying to get all settled in and just can't wait for it to warm up so we go to use the baseball field across the street! Enjoy.

Newest news...

So the newest news with us, is that we currently are residing at my parents house. Last Sunday Jan. 30th, while I was doing dishes, we ran out of water. Like literal water stopped coming out of the faucet. So I try the breaker box etc... Nothing wrong so I call my landlord (the joys of renting) and let her know. A lot of very long stories later, I still do Not have water, or at least when there is water is is NOT livable water. There is so many 'floating objects' and just overall dirt in the water that there is NO way I'm going to stay there. So as they were finally going to have a well company come out today to look at it, but that didn't happen. They tell me that they hope to come tomorrow, but with our predicted weather they are not sure it will happen then either. I LOVE paying for a storage unit. So I do still promise that I will post pictures of it, that is if/when we get to move back in. It's just been great, but Blake has thought it's pretty freaking awesome to stay with G-ma and Papa this many days, not to mention he gets to sleep with me!!!

Update

Hey so I thought I'd send out an update. I am Not going to be taking classes this year. At the December board meeting the board changed their mind and they are not going to train but one person, so one of the hearing impaired teachers is going to be taking the classes. I am very frustrated by this I was VERY excited for the opportunities it was going to bring me, but I guess God has some crazy plan for me right now, and someday (hopefully soon) I'll see where he's going with all of this. Anywho I thought I'd also share a few pics with you!

Alyssa and Blake created monster puppets and then put on a puppet show for us. Loved their creations and watching thier little minds go!!



Blake and Alyssa LOVE playing Dodge Ball with each other, and just thought this one was cute so I wanted to share. They also love to hang out in thier PJ's all day when we let them!!



Well you can't really tell here yet, but we are planning to grow Blakers hair out and just see what we get. We've NEVER had it longer at all,but we have no holiday's no pictures nothing coming up so we'll see how long it gets before we give up, but maybe you'll see it grow on here. This is about the longest it's ever gotten (before that first haircut I guess)


Hope you are all doing well, and I promise I'm going to try to get some pics of "The Plex" on here soon, but I'm still trying to get stuff hung on the walls so it won't look so bare in the pictures. Just never got stuff up before put up Christmas stuff, now I'm trying to figure out what I need and where everything will go.

Sledding

We have gone sledding two different times. Once with Papa Donnie and Grandma Connie at their house being pulled by the gator. Which I then realized when we took him to go down a hill with the Hunters that we had never been sledding down a hill before. He was a little scared at first, then decided to go with me the first time. I think he would of loved it, had we not crashed and tumbled the first time down.. Yeah go mom.

Catching Up

Hey ~ So I promised to try to get back to this in my Christmas letter. I know I've been VERY bad at keeping up on this. So here is my first attempt. I will as soon as we get undecorated from Christmas and redecorated to post pictures of 'The Plex' You'll see most everything in the slideshow things you won't see are. 1) Jenny and Mark are Pregnant and due in June!!! 2) I will NOT be going back to school starting in Jan. anyway. The board didn't approve for us all to go so.. I am pretty upset about this as I was VERY excited about the opportunities and challenges it had in store for me, but oh well such is life right... Still trying to stick with God has a plan and someday somehow I'm going to see what ALL of this is supposed to teach/give me in life... So anway here is a little bit lengthy slideshow to show you a little of what I've not been posting.
